Free escape room VR game

Exit Condition One is a classic escape room puzzle game built for VR using Roomscale design, which allows you to freely walk around the play area with real-life motion. It has puzzles that are tightly integrated into the cramped, claustrophobic rooms, giving you that panic experience of an actual escape room.

Its developer, damondpoole, designed the game to make you feel like you’re actually in the environment, complete with very realistic object physics. The puzzles are a little difficult, but not so impossible that it takes the fun out of the game. Overall, you get a different level of immersion.

Claustrophobic and highly enjoyable

Exit Condition One has all the essential elements of escape rooms. Aside from giving you a claustrophobic experience, your hands in the game closely match your actual hand positions. On top of that, it also has a height adjustment button that allows you to either crouch or stand. Moreover, while it works best with a 6'x8' room, locomotion and teleport are both supported.

One of the best things about the game is its physics. The game is designed in a way where you can touch everything you see. So, you don’t have to worry about ghost hands, objects passing through each other, or guessing if you can interact with an object. Meanwhile, the rooms have numerous puzzles that will make you think out of the box while being inside the box.

While the game is everything a player would want in an escape room game, what it doesn’t have, however, is a save feature. So, if you don’t want to lose all your progress, you’re going to have to finish the game in one sitting. It is doable, though, since the game is short. When you do beat the game, you’re congratulated with a cool fireworks display.

Great puzzle game for VR

To top it all off, Exit Condition One is a really great puzzle game if you want something non-committal that you can finish immediately. With its features that give you a realistic VR gaming experience, you can get the fun and thrill out of an escape room challenge at the comfort of your home. A slight downside on its length and lack of save feature, but still entertaining.
